Will W. Overbeck
A plant ecologist active in ecosystem restoration, I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2003, where I studied scientific illustration at the Field Museum of Natural History.
Since 2003, working on ecological restoration of prairies, savannas, woodlands, and forests has been my passion and inspiration. Currently as a volunteer consultant with the Friends of Wolf Run Watershed in Kentucky, I help the planning and implementation of invasive species control and native plant reintroductions. I studied seed ecology with Dr. Jerry Baskin at the University of Kentucky and for my Master of Science thesis, conducted a study of the native and introduced species of Garrard County, Kentucky under the supervision of Dr. Ronald Jones at Eastern Kentucky University.
